Saddleworth Tennis Club



Saddleworth Tennis Club, an integral part of the local community is a family orientated tennis club which is part of the Saddleworth Cricket, Bowling and Tennis Club. Based off Calf Lane, Greenfield OL3 7HY the tennis club was formed in 1886 and provides people from a wide surrounding area with the opportunity to play tennis and offers free use to schools and sporting organisations.


The tennis club has three all-weather tarmacadam courts which were resurfaced in 2016. It has two mixed teams in the Oldham League and a men’s team and two mixed teams in the Manchester League whilst a regular social tennis evening open to all club members is held every Wednesday throughout the year at 7.30pm.


The club has a tennis coach, Sean Stafford, who provides group and individual coaching to players of all standards. All levels of junior coaching are held on Wednesday’s from 4pm to 7pm. Mixed cardio tennis is held on Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm and Tuesday 9.30am to 10.30am and a session for ladies only on Thursday’s 9.30am to 10.30am. Further details can be found at
