Saddleworth Peace Group – What do we do?
We aim to keep the idea of a peaceful world, as a possibility, alive and well. We work to make explicit that the roots of world peace lie in respectful individual and community relationships.
Currently, our main activities are focused around Hiroshima Day (6th August) and Holocaust Memorial Day (27th January). Both of these anniversaries are marked by us and others, throughout the world. Please see separate Flyers for more details.
We have links with our local MP Debbie Abrahams and regularly talk to the pupils at Saddleworth School. We have occasional articles in Saddleworth Monthly and other local media.
To people on our mailing list we send the Greater Manchester CND “Nuclear Alert”; irregular newsletters and occasional information about a small number of like minded organisations such as the Saddleworth Palestinian Women’s Scholarship Fund. We do not do spam or pass your details to anyone else.
If you leave us your name and email address we will add you to the mailing list;
