Saddleworth Male Voice Choir

Saddleworth Male Voice Choir

The choir has been known by its present title since 1955, and has origins dating back to the early 1900’s.

We present concerts twice yearly at Saddleworth (Uppermill) Civic Hall featuring a variety of guest artists that have included leading soloists, folk groups and brass bands, including some household names.

Possibly uniquely for a male voice choir, we perform Handel’s “Messiah” each December at the Civic Hall, with the men being joined by an augmented chorus of ladies, plus professional soloists and orchestra.

We also perform concerts as guests of other organisations, including raising funds for various charities.

We are always pleased to welcome new members. Our rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7.30pm in the upstairs room at The Old School, Lee Street, Uppermill, OL3 6HQ (Station Road entrance) – just along the road from the Civic Hall.
